Spring is one of my favourite times of year to do photos. Most people love the fall but I'm a spring person all the way. I just love the light! And everything is so new and fresh. We had a gorgeous evening at Victoria park for the Omand/Schmidt family, and their little guy was so much fun. I love when everything just falls together perfectly.

2016 has gone by in a blur and here I am finally posting some of my wonderful sessions from the past year. The Heldmann family is one of my favourite families! They are always a ton of fun to work with...and with their high energy two year old (and a baby on the way) I'm so grateful for their laid back nature. We had a great time at Huron Natural Area and got some great shots!
I think it's about time for me to get back to blogging and show you all the wonderful families I've had a chance to work with this past spring. I've gotten the chance to work with some pretty great groups and this family was one of them. It's never easy to get adult children together for photos as everyone seems to be on a different schedule. It's even harder when there are four kids to try and coordinate! But they all came together and gave their Mom a wonderful gift of a mini family session.
My first outdoor session of 2016 was with this handsome little guy as he prepared for a very big day. I'm so proud of C for pushing through the cold he was fighting to get some of these great shots. We were so lucky to have a warm wave in March that allowed us to sneak in an outdoor session in the beautiful downtown Galt area. So many beautiful settings to work with!
I was once again delighted to have little Miss D in the studio to celebrate another year. This little ball of energy knows how to have fun! And I just love the beautiful outfits this little cutie comes in with.
And here it is...my final session of 2015. I'm so happy I was able to squeeze in this family for a last minute holiday mini session. It was a gorgeous November day when the temperatures were up and the sun was shining so we took advantage of it with a trip to Waterloo Park. I did Brad and Emily's maternity photos back in the Spring and it was so nice to get to see their little guy...he just melts my heart. What a cutie! I love when they reach the sitting age.
This was my final family session at Huron Natural Area for 2015. I have to say, I spent a lot of time at this location this past fall, and I loved it! I was so happy when Steph asked me to do some family photos for her. We did a session here a few years back and it was definitely time to update those photos. My daughter spent a lot of play dates with their little guy when they were babies, so it was really nice to catch up.
I just love how late our fall went this past year. I had a chance to do some sessions into November without the need for big winter coats. As you can probably tell...I just love working at Huron Natural Area. There are so many options including this amazing bridge! We had a cool and drizzly start, but once that passed we had a gorgeous end to our session.
Another fall family session at Huron Natural Area...and this one on Halloween! This family was so much fun. We met for a mini session and boy did they make the most of their time. What a fun group! I love when families aren't shy to have some fun and show their true personalities.
It was a very cold and windy day in October when I got together with the Gillard family, but they toughed out the cold and we got some really great shots of everyone together! Once again I was out at Huron Natural Area, and even though it was cold and windy we had some beautiful sunshine. We did a mini extended family session which worked out well with the weather we were having. Luckily the kids were full of lots of smiles! |
